Heumensoord is an area of more than 600 hectares in Gelderland that mainly consists of coniferous forest. it is part of the chain of forests between Nijmegen and Mook that becomes richer and more varied towards the east, but towards the west increasingly drier, poorer and also poorer in species. Military exercises are sometimes held in the surrounding forest, sometimes closing parts of the area to the public. In the south of the area is the Malden Glider Airfield.
The Holterberg is a hilly area that is part of the Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park . The Holterberg owes its name to the Overijssel village of Holten , which lies south of this area. In the north, this area borders the Haarlerberg and Noetselerberg . This nature reserve includes many moors that are interspersed with forests. Black grouse are only found in the Netherlands on the Holterberg and the Hoge Veluwe .
Holtingerveld is a Natura 2000 area in the Dutch province of Drenthe . Before 2013, it was referred to as Havelte-East. The Holtingerveld is not a national park, but together with the national parks Dwingelderveld and Drents-Friese Wold it forms the natural and cultural landscape of the Drents-Friese border region.
Hoog Beek en Rooyen is a country estate at Driebergseweg 1 in Zeist. The older estate Beek en Royen is diagonally opposite the villa. The simple, white country house of the country estate stands on a green hill in a park with a number of outbuildings. Behind the house is a tea cupola on a small hill. The grounds also include a gardener's house, playhouse, coach house and an aviary. The former orangery is on the other side of the Driebergseweg.
De IJzeren Man is a 100 ha nature and recreation area located in Dutch Limburg. The area is located west of Weert and is part of Grenspark Kempen~Broek , which covers an area of 25,000 ha and is located in both the Netherlands and Belgium. The area is part of the outskirts of Altweerterheide and the Kazernelaanbuurt.
Kardinge is the name of a sports center, the Sportcentrum Kardinge , of a nature and recreation area Kardinge managed by Natuurmonumenten and of a transferium, P+R Kardinge. The Kardinge nature and recreation area alternates between forests, meadows, lakes and swamps, with opportunities to experience nature and for walking, rollerblading, running and swimming. The area functions as a neighborhood park for the surrounding city districts.
Duivenvoorde is a country estate with a stately castle in the form of a moated nobleman's house and has a total of 23 complex parts. [1] It is located in the Duivenvoorde corridor under the South Holland town of Voorschoten . The construction of the current seventeenth-century country estate was completed in 1631. Today the castle can be visited as a museum. The monumental walking park can be visited all year round. It is also an official wedding location also.
The Kop van Schouwen is a Natura 2000 area in the 'dunes' category on the west side of Schouwen-Duiveland between Burgh-Haamstede and Renesse in the Dutch province of Zeeland . The area has been classified as a protected natural monument since 1978 and as a state natural monument since 1988. The varied landscape is an important habitat for many protected species.
The Kozakput is a nature reserve near Zeist south of Soesterberg and northeast of Zeist in the province of Utrecht . The Kozakputt is located between Kamp van Zeist and the sports fields of Schaerweijde , with the A28 on the north side. This area of 91 hectares in the middle of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug , together with adjacent areas Krakeling and Witte Hull, forms an area of 123 hectares. The owner of the area, Het Utrechts Landschap , has mapped out a walking route.
The Krabbenkreek is a body of water between the former islands of Tholen and Sint Philipsland in the Dutch province of Zeeland. It flows into the Mastgat in the west and on the east it ended in the former Eendracht, the present -day Scheldt-Rhine Canal. The Krabbenkreekdam was constructed in 1972 for shipping on this canal.
The Kromslootpark is a nature reserve of approximately 149 hectares in the municipality of Almere . The area is part of the city forests of Almere. The Kromsloot Park forms a continuous green zone between Almere Haven and Almere Stad , together with the Beginbos and the Vroege Vogelbos. The area is characterized by creeks, wetlands , fields and forest. Highland cattle , sheep , Mangalitza pigs and horses graze there.
The Kroon's Polders on the western part of the Wadden island of Vlieland were created between 1920 and 1925 at the initiative of the dune warden, later supervisor at Rijkswaterstaat Jan Wouter Kroon. Between 1898 and 1905 a number of drift dikes had been constructed close to the already existing Meeuwenduinen on the western part of Vlieland in order to enlarge the narrowing strip of dunes.
