Trompenburg Arboretum is a tree and plant garden on the Honingerdijk in the South Holland city of Rotterdam . The park covers an area of ​​eight hectares . The park contains approximately 4000 different species of trees, shrubs and perennials. A new entrance building was opened in 1996. Due to its design, the former country estate gives the visitor the impression of a walking park rather than a 'collection of trees'. Trompenburg is affiliated with the Dutch Association of Botanical Gardens .
