Belfort van Sluis
Iconic Buildings
The belfry of Sluis is a town hall whose construction may have started in 1386 . It is the only belfry located within the borders of present-day Netherlands, next to the Wijnhuistoren in Zutphen. Originally it was called the gatehouse and was intended for meetings and parties, by analogy with the Poortersloge in Bruges . Next door was the aldermen 's house .
Berkenhof Tropical Zoo is a small commercial amusement and animal park in the hamlet of Langeweegje near Kwadendamme in the Dutch province of Zeeland . The Tropical Zoo has a tropical garden with about fifty tropical animal species, a fossil mine, dino expo, an indoor play jungle and an outdoor water playground.

Bizarium is a museum located in Sluis , in the province of Zeeland . The museum is located in a historic building. The collection consists of bizarre inventions that never caught on. Most of the items in the collection are reconstructions based on old drawings and patents, in addition to some original pieces. The museum was founded by the designer duo Marc De Jonghe and Ann Geerinck.

Breskens Lighthouse

The lighthouse of Breskens is the oldest remaining cast-iron lighthouse in the Netherlands. It was built in 1867 and became a monument in 1982.The octagonal, black and white tower marks the entrance to the Westerschelde. The tower is 28.4 metres tall and consists of five stories. It is part of a series of lights marking the end of the Schelde river and guide traffic between the North Sea and the harbor of Antwerp.

The Brouws Museum is a historical maritime museum in the city of Brouwershaven The collection includes: ship models, models of naval guns, maritime paintings, topographical maps, passport maps , navigation instruments, prints, maritime home crafts and some gold trade coins found in 2000 in Brouwershaven. The museum is located in two historic buildings with the address Haven-Zuidzijde 15. It also has three exhibition rooms, a library, cinema, museum shop and museum garden.

Bunker Museum Zoutelande is a museum in a bunker complex in the Zeeland town of Zoutelande. The complex was part of the Atlantic Wall. Two bunkers of the Stützpunkt Lohengrin complex are open. The distance between the bunkers is about 200 meters. The walls and roof are made of concrete with a thickness of 2 meters. The other bunker complex in Zoutelande was named after another opera by Richard Wagner: Stützpunkt Meistersinger.

Both are still clearly recognizable, Haamstede north and Burgh south. With 4,310 inhabitants (1 January 2021), it is the second largest residential area on the island after Zierikzee.

De Goese Golf is a Dutch golf course in Goes , in the province of Zeeland. The golf course in Goes is a polder course, on 12 of the 18 holes the player has to deal with water hazards. There is also a 9-hole par 3 course. De Goese Golf has a high clubhouse, which is located on an island in the Goese Meer. The terrace offers a wide view over the golf course and the adjacent protected nature reserve 'de Oosterschelde'.

The Manteling van Walcheren is a Natura 2000 area in the 'dunes' category on the Kop van Walcheren in Zeeland between Domburg and the Veerse Gatdam . The nature reserve is approximately 740 hectares in size and consists of country estates, forests and low-lime dunes with wet dune valleys, dune grasslands and dune shrubbery. The Oranjezon dune area is also an integral part of the Natura 2000 area.
De Vogel

De Vogel is a creek and nature reserve in East Zeeuws-Vlaanderen , in the Dutch province of Zeeland . The area is located between Hengstdijk and Lamswaarde. The creek is mainly known as a fishing area and along the banks you will find many fishing piers. In 1971 a recreation area called "De Vogel" was also set up near Hengstdijk, with bungalows and the like.

The Domburgse Golf Club is a Dutch golf club west of Domburg in the province of Zeeland. The course was built in 1914 and is located close to the sea. There are nine holes . Each hole has a double tee, so the course can be played as an 18-hole course. There are a number of grass bunkers that were created from bomb craters from the Second World War.

Flood Museum in Ouwerkerk, Netherlands is the "National Knowledge and Remembrance Centre for the Floods of 1953" and offers an in-depth picture of the events during and after the flood of 1 February 1953. The museum was officially opened on 2 April 2001. The museum also educates visitors about water safety, and the museum collects global knowledge about flooding.

Boswachterij Westerschouwen is the largest forest in Zeeland , located on the coast of Schouwen-Duiveland. The Westerschouwen Boswachterij, the Meeuwenduinen, the Verklikkerduinen and the Vroongronden all fall under the Kop van Schouwen. The forest is rich in birds. Birds of prey such as buzzards and hawks are present. The area is largely freely accessible to visitors. The area can be visited on foot, by bicycle or with a horse. There is also a tiled path that wheelchair users can use.

Fort Rammekens is a Dutch fortress near Ritthem , at the mouth of the former Welzinge Canal , which gave access to the port of Middelburg , a few kilometers east of Vlissingen on the Western Scheldt. The fortress played an important role in the Eighty Years' War between 1560 and 1575 , it changed occupiers several times. On February 8, 1574, the transfer of the city of Middelburg was signed here by Cristóbal de Mondragón and William of Orange .

The Stoomtrein Goes - Borsele is a heritage railway operating from Goes through Kwadendamme to the village of Hoedekenskerke, in the province of Zeeland, Netherlands.The railway operates a fleet of seventeen locomotives - nine diesel engines, six steam engines, and two relatively unusual 1,500 volt Alstom electric engines. Additionally, three heritage diesel railcars are in service.
This is an archaeological museum, located in the Zeeland town of Aardenburg in the municipality of Sluis , Zeelandic Flanders. The museum contains many objects from the Roman era and the Middle Ages , especially pottery such as rubbing dishes, drinking cups, piggy banks and large fireboxes, but also bone and metal utensils and bronze and terracotta gods figurines. In the garden behind the museum are the foundations of a Gallo-Roman temple.

A beautiful canal linking Ghent in Belgium to the port of Terneuzen on the Westerschelde (Scheldt) Estuary in the Netherlands, thereby providing the former with better access to the sea. It is now 200 metres wide and 32 kilometers long, capable of accommodating ships of up to 125 000 gross tonnage. The largest permitted vessel size has increased, correspondingly, to 265 metres long x 34 metres wide, with a draught of up to 12.5 metres.
Grevelingendam

The Grevelingendam is a dam in the Netherlands , located between the provinces of South Holland and Zeeland . The N59 runs over the 5.8 kilometer long dam. It is 5.8 kilometers long and connects the islands of Goeree-Overflakkee and Schouwen-Duiveland. The dam separates the Grevelingenmeer from the Krammer, which is actually part of the Oosterschelde, and part of the Volkerak.
