Nieuw-Amelisweerd, is a castle and knightly court town near Bunnik in the Dutch province of Utrecht . It is located in the current Amelisweerd estate. After changing owners several times, the property came into the possession of Hendrik van Utenhove in 1682, who had the medieval house demolished and built the current country house .In 1984 the house was restored by architect Dr EJ Hoogenberk on the initiative of the original squatters. The house is still inhabited today and has 17 apartments.

The Panbos, together with the Beerschoten and Houdringe estates, form a continuous green area with an area of ​​approximately 378 hectares, isolated from the Utrecht Hill Ridge. The area is 500 hectares and has a high biodiversity, with rare vegetation such as flowery and hectic grasslands and oak strubben forest. A good trekking destination and also there are so many to explore.

A youth hostel has been established in the country house since 1933 ; this is the oldest youth hostel in the Netherlands. Close to the youth hostel is Theehuis Rhijnauwen, one of the biggest attractions of the area.

The Rietveld Schröder House is a residential house in the city of Utrecht designed by Gerrit Rietveld in 1923-1924. The house has been completely designed in accordance with the ideas of the De Stijl art movement. Rietveld designed the house for Truus Schröder-Schräder , who lived there from January 1925 until her death in 1985. The house is located at 50 Prins Hendriklaan in the Wilhelmina Park area and can be viewed via a guided tour. It has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2000.

The Hagestein weir and lock complex is located in the Lek near the village of Hagestein in the municipality of Vijfheerenlanden , in the Dutch province of Utrecht . It consists of a weir and a lock. The complex was completed in 1960 . The complex is similar to that at Driel and that at Amerongen . With these three weirs together, a large part of the water management in the Netherlands can be regulated.

Sonnenborgh Observatory is an astronomical observatory and museum open to the public, located in Utrecht, Netherlands. It was founded in 1853 as a university observatory and from 1854 until 1897 it was the first home of the Royal Dutch Meteorological Institute.

Spoorwegmuseum

The Spoorwegmuseum or the Dutch Railway Museum has been located since 1954 in the Maliebaan station built in 1874 on the Oosterspoorweg in the city of Utrecht. Its collection mainly contained images, documentation and track attributes. In 1935 the museum moved to NS-Hoofdgebouw I at the Moreelsepark . In the 1930s, the first initiatives were taken to preserve old railway equipment of historical importance. As a result of the war conditions, some of these were lost after all.

It is the country's only pre-Reformation cathedral, but has been a Protestant church since 1580.It was once the Netherlands' largest church, but the nave collapsed in a storm in 1674 and rebuilt thereafter. When entering St. Martin’s Cathedral, you will immediately notice the 32-metre high vault. Other characteristics of the Cathedral are the pews across from each other, the tombs and the stained glass windows.

Through her diary, Anne Frank has become a worldwide symbol of the victims of the Holocaust. The bronze statue was made by the Utrecht sculptor Pieter d'Hont.
