The Wilhelminapark is a city park in the Dutch city of Utrecht. It is one of the first parks in the Netherlands to be recognized as a national monument. The park is centrally located in Utrecht-East and east of Oudwijk. The park is bisected by a cycle path, which is heavily used by students who cycle between De Uithof and the city center. The large meadow in the south in particular is not only used by individual holidaymakers who, for example, have a picnic, play football or frisbee.

Rietveld designed the house for Truus Schröder-Schräder , who lived there from January 1925 until her death in 1985. The house is located at 50 Prins Hendriklaan in the Wilhelmina Park area and can be viewed via a guided tour. It has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2000.

The Spoorwegmuseum or the Dutch Railway Museum has been located since 1954 in the Maliebaan station built in 1874 on the Oosterspoorweg in the city of Utrecht. Its collection mainly contained images, documentation and track attributes. In 1935 the museum moved to NS-Hoofdgebouw I at the Moreelsepark . In the 1930s, the first initiatives were taken to preserve old railway equipment of historical importance. As a result of the war conditions, some of these were lost after all.
