The Kunsthaus Zug has existed since 1990 in a complex from the 16th century, the “Hof Im Dorf”, on the edge of the old town of Zug in Switzerland. The house owes its collection of works of classical modernism with a focus on Vienna to the Kamm Collection Foundation. It was founded in 1998 by Christa, Peter, and Christine Kamm and has made the holdings available to the Kunsthaus Zug on permanent loan.

Morgarten is a village in the municipality of Oberägeri in the Swiss canton of Zug. The place is on the banks of the Ägeri lake and on the road from Oberägeri to Sattel. Originally the place was called Hauptsee. In 1905 it was renamed in connection with the commemoration of the Battle of Morgarten on November 15, 1315, and the erection of a battle memorial. The name was changed at the request of the Oberägeri-Morgarten Tourist Association by the Zurich District Post Office.
