At 7.30 am we started our way up to visit the fort. It's 800+ steps and it is a good workout - but achievable. Bring a hat and water. Once on top, you can enjoy a magnificent view and a fascinating fortress that did not seem to be doing its job well. It got conquered already one year after the construction was finished and continued to be conquered many times after.
