Meenuliyan Para

A huge rock rising over 4,000 feet with an evergreen forest on top of it. The peaks are covered in mist in rainy days but otherwise, you will be able to see the Periyar river flowing below as a silver stream, and parts of the city of Cochin far away.

Mini Ooty (Arimbra Hills)

Arimbra Hills earned its more popular name Mini Ooty due to its resemblence with the well known hill station of southern India- Ooty. The place is known for its rolling hills and scenic views. You can also view the runway of Kozhikode airport with closer look at takeoffs and landings from here.

Muniyara - Anakottapara Park

The Muniyara Dolmens are magnificent prehistoric dolmens, situated in Marayoor, Idukki. The tourists trek through the area of Muniyara to reach 15 different types of Dolmens, which belongs to the Neolithic Age, i.e. between 3000 BC and 14000 BC.

Panchalimedu

Situated at a height of 2,500 ft (760 m) above the sea level, the place is surrounded by deep valleys and hills, accompanied by meadows, grasslands, and cool refreshing climate. Pilgrims from the various regions gather here to witness the Makaravilakku, a holy flame that is believed to a supernatural phenomenon by the devotees, which appears annually on 14 January in the Ponnambalamedu summit

Parunthumpara

Parunthumpara is a viewpoint offering a birdseye view of endless stretches of green forests and low-lying areas. It is called Parunthumpara (eagle rock) because of its large rocky area with projection combined to look like an eagle facing the vast lands of the Western Ghat Mountains. The rock projection is called Tagore Rock as it appears to have the shape of Rabindranath Tagore, the famous Bengali polymath.

Pathimoonnu Kannara Bridge

The 13 Kannara bridge or 13 Arch Bridge (Pathimoonu Kannara Bridge) is a 108-year-old bridge from the British era consisting of 13 arches. It is a major landmark on the Kollam-Sengottai railway line. The bridge connects two hillocks and stands on thirteen granite pillars each almost a hundred feet tall. The bridge is sandwiched by the Kollam-Thirumangalam National Highway on one side and the River Kazhuthurutti on the other. It is 102.72 meters (337.0 ft) long and 5.18 meters (17.0 ft) tall.

Sasippara- ശശ്ശിപ്പാറ

Sasipara sits at a height of 1220 meters above sea level with views of many small towns and continuos mountains of the Western Ghats. From here, there are trekking routes to Coorg- the popular tourist destination in Karnataka and to many nearby villages. This is a very less explored attraction in the region.

The pass begins from Adivaram at the bottom of Kozhikode District and ends at Lakkidi at the top of Wayanad District. Wayanad Churam is located 800 meters above sea level and has a length of 18 kilometres.
