None of these photos were taken from Idukki dam but in an around the area of it as photography is prohibited inside the dam complex. If you are interested to visit the dam, the entry point is at Cheruthoni dam from where you can walk and checkout Cheruthoni dam, Vysali caves and Idukki dam.

The dam itself is humengous. So large and tall supporting a huge volume of water spread over sixty square kilometers. You can also see the tunnel that is cut through the mountain "kurathi mala". We had a great time exploring the dam and it's areas.
