Aquazoo Friesland

AquaZoo Leeuwarden is a zoo located east of Leeuwarden in the recreation area De Groene Ster in the province of Friesland . It is part of Libéma. Here you can mainly see animals that live in, on or near the water, such as Nile crocodiles, polar bears, ring-tailed lemurs and flamingos. Artis, is a zoo in the centre of Amsterdam. It is the oldest zoo in the Netherlands and one of the oldest zoos of mainland Europe. Berkenhof Tropical Zoo

Berkenhof Tropical Zoo is a small commercial amusement and animal park in the hamlet of Langeweegje near Kwadendamme in the Dutch province of Zeeland . The Tropical Zoo has a tropical garden with about fifty tropical animal species, a fossil mine, dino expo, an indoor play jungle and an outdoor water playground.


BestZoo is a small zoo that also has a playground attached. It is located in the hamlet of De Vleut near Best in North Brabant. The zoo became an official animal park in 1932. Before that, there was already a private collection of exotic animals. Over the years, the park and the number of animals in captivity continued to expand.

Vogelpark Avifauna is an animal park in Alphen aan den Rijn with an emphasis on birds.The park has lots of greenery and ponds , a restaurant , and a large playground with traditionally the highest sliding tower in the Netherlands. The park was owned by the Van der Valk group but has been a foundation since early 2012. The Avifauna Bird Park Foundation is committed to bird and nature conservation and has an ANBI status. Boat trips can also be made from the park.

Zie-ZOO Zoo is a medium-sized zoo in Volkel . The zoo is located right next to the entrance to Volkel Air Base. Many animals can be found in the zoo, from almost all continents. The most notable include the clouded leopard , tayra , wolverine , snow goat, Siberian fireweasel, ring-tailed mongoose, Asiatic rubella, and the American black bear.


Dierenrijk is a zoo in Mierlo close to Eindhoven , located in Gulbergen. Animals can be seen up close in the park. There are almost a hundred different animal species. A farmhouse in Brabant acts as the entrance. The original slogan The Children 's Zoo was recently changed to Enjoy together .


GaiaZOO Zuid-Limburg is one of the most beautiful zoos in the Benelux. It has won many awards and succeeds in living up to its own GaiaZOO theory. It hosts approximately 100 different species. Besides traditional zoo animals such as gorillas, rhinoceroses, lions, zebras , GaiaZOO has some species which cannot be found in other Dutch zoos such as Amazon bush dogs, wolverines, muskoxen and bat-eared foxes.

A majestic zoo located in the northwestern part of Rotterdam. It is one of the oldest zoos in the Netherlands, and has been operated by the Stichting Koninklijke Rotterdamse Diergaarde. Animal husbandry is recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality. More than 150 animal species are kept in the park. The farm contains dozens of terrariums and semi-open enclosures with reptiles , amphibians , arthropods and a few small mammals .

ZooParc Overloon is a zoo located in the North Brabant village of Overloon .The animal enclosures are furnished in a way that mimics nature. A number of lodgings are accessible to visitors.
