Kremsmünster Abbey is a Benedictine monastery in Kremsmünster in Upper Austria . It has been the spiritual and economic center of the region since it was founded in 777 . The monastery is also known for the observatory and for the grammar school. The Kremsmünster Abbey Library is one of the largest and oldest in Austria. The magnificent 65-metre long room contains about 160,000 volumes, the most famous of which is the Codex Millenarius dating from around 800.

The Hohe Krippenstein is a 2,108 m high, popular panoramic mountain on the northern edge of the Dachstein Mountains in Upper Austria. The Lentos Art Museum is a museum of modern art in Linz, Austria. It opened in May 2003 as the successor of the Neue Galerie der Stadt Linz. The art museum collection comprises around 1500 works from the areas of painting, sculpture and object art, over 10,000 works on paper, and about 850 photographs, including significant contributions to the development of artistic photography.

The Mauthausen Memorial describes as “a former crime scene, a place of memory, a cemetery for the mortal remains of thousands of those murdered here and, increasingly, a site of political and historical education.” It was established in April 1938, shortly after Austria was annexed to Nazi Germany. Starting as a satellite of Dachau, in Germany, it became an independent camp in the spring of 1939, operated by the SS.

The narrow-gauge Steyrtalbahn ran from Garsten via Grünburg and Molln to Klaus with a side wing from Pergern via Sierning to Bad Hall in Upper Austria . Today it only runs as a museum train on weekends in the summer months, in Advent and around the turn of the year. It leads through beautiful forest and meadow landscapes along the Steyr, one of the cleanest rivers in Austria.

National Park Upper Austrian Limestone Alps

A national park within the Northern Limestone Alps mountain range, located in the state of Upper Austria, Austria. The park was established in 1997.The park contains Central Europe's largest forested area, as well the largest karst region in Austria. It has numerous hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding trails. The former Steyr Valley Railway, with sections now the Steyrtal rail trail, pass through the park in the Molln area.

The Old Cathedral stands serenely, in all its beauty at the City Hall district. Originally a Jesuit church, the cathedral exemplifies Baroque style architecture and has emerged as an elaborate, spacious edifice with side chapels. It was built between 1669 and 1683 in Baroque style. From 1785 to 1909 it served as cathedral of the Diocese of Linz.

Since the middle of the 1980s, traffic on the pass has been reduced by the opening of the Bosruck Tunnel for the A9 Pyhrn Autobahn. There has also been a railway tunnel since the nineteenth century. Since the road tunnel was built, the road has not been cleared regularly in winter, and there is a weight limit for trucking.

Ciclabile del Danubio is a long-distance cycle path that starts from the source of the Danube and reaches its mouth in the Black Sea . The Danube cycle path runs for the most part on both banks of the river, although in part it is present on only one bank, so that during the journey it is necessary to cross the Danube several times. The cycle path follows an ancient Roman roadalong the Danube limes which connected the stations, castles and fortifications up to the Danube Delta .
