Besseggen is one of Norway's most popular mountain classics. The green waters of the Gjende lake, cradled amidst the steep mountains of the majestic Jotunheimen National Park, create the perfect scenery. Bessvatnet lake, on the opposite side of the ridge, is considered to be Norway's clearest lake, where you can see as far as 30 meters below the surface of the water.

Surtningssue is the seventh-highest mountain in Norway. It lies in Jotunheimen, on the border between the municipalities Lom and Vågå. Surtningssue has several distinct peaks, of which Store Surtningssue is the highest. Surtningssue is most easily reached from the cabin Memurubu, along the northern shore of Gjendin.

The name is derived from Norse gandr m 'staff, stick'. This is referring to the form of the long and narrow lake.

A memorial was raised in 1909 to the Norwegian poet Aasmund Olavsson Vinje at the western end of Lake. This is one of the nice tourist places in this area and a lot of people visits this place every day.

Kyrkyja was thought to be unclimbable until the 19th century, due to its steepness. Despite its slopes, climbing to the top is a day’s hike, helped by the rocks covering the mountainside. Kyrkyja used to be covered in snow, but climate change has severely lessened the amount of snow on the mountain.

Norway's second-highest mountain Glittertind, which lies 2452 meters above sea level, is a majestic peak with a great view over large parts of Jotunheimen. This summit is coved of a magnificent snow and ice cap, and has its name from the river Glitra, which flows from Glitterholet in Visdalen.

It is in the municipality of Lom in Innlandet county and in the Jotunheimen mountain area. During the ice ages, it was heavily glaciated and got its present form. The beautiful church dates back to 1158-59, which was still the main church in Lom. The oldest part was built in Romanesque style. By archeological excavations in 1973 interesting findings were made; more than 2.000 coins and a love message with carved runes on a stick and this church has the largest collection of paintings found in any Norwegian church, most of them done by Eggert Munch.

Breheimen National Park is a national park that was established in 2009. The park is located in the municipalities of Skjåk and Lom in Innlandet county and in Luster in Vestland county, Norway. The park covers 1,671 square kilometers of the Breheimen mountain range.

It was the church for the Lærdal parish until 1868 when it was closed and turned into a museum. The brown, wooden church was built in a stave church style around the year 1200. The museum now run by the Society for the Preservation of Ancient Norwegian Monuments.

It is beautifully situated on the peninsula Storøye on the banks of Lake Strandefjorden in Fagernes. The museum focuses especially on folk music and instruments, folk costumes, and the conservation of historical buildings.
