Museum Het Oude Raadhuis is housed in the former town hall of Urk from 1905. The museum illustrates the history of the former island Urk and its residents. A centerpiece in the museum is the authentic fisherman's house which is decorated as was common in the 20th century in Urk. The house includes a net loft, a well and a bedstead. In the summer, there are volunteers dressed in costumes in the house. Upstairs changing exhibitions are on display.

Urk Lighthouse is a lighthouse in Urk at the eastern banks of the IJsselmeer. From 1617 a coal fire was used for the local fishermen as well as for the ships sailing from Amsterdam to the North Sea. The current lighthouse station was established in 1837. The lighthouse was restored in 1972 and declared a national monument of the Netherlands in 1982. The tower can be visited during guided tours.

IJsseloog is an artificial island in the middle of the Ketelmeer that aims to store contaminated sludge from the bottom of the lake. It also has a recreation and nature development function. The island owes its name to its location in front of the mouth of the IJssel and to the shape of the sludge depot, round like an eye,so that the contact surface of the sludge depot with the environment is as small as possible. In addition, the word "oog" is an old Dutch word for island.

The Waterloopbos is a former site for hydraulic research near Marknesse in the Noordoostpolder in the province of Flevoland . It was the testing ground of the Waterloopkundig Laboratorium De Voorst , a subsidiary of the Waterloopkundig Laboratorium in Delft . The area is characterized by remnants and ruins of laboratory structures. After it lost its function as a site for large-scale test installations for flood defenses and dams, a swamp forest developed .

Kuinder of Tjonger is a small river that runs from southeast to south in the Dutch province of Friesland. The Tjonger and the Opsterlandse Compagnonsvaart are part of the Frisian Turf Route . The Tjonger Valley is an open biotope with a unique flora and fauna between Mildam and Makkinga . Meadow birds such as curlew, black-tailed godwit, oystercatcher, ruff, lark, lapwing, yellow wagtail and partridge nested here until the beginning of the 21st century.

The ir. D.F. Wouda Steam Pumping Station is a pumping station in the Netherlands, and the largest still operational steam-powered pumping station in the world. On October 7, 1920 Queen Wilhelmina opened the pumping station. It was built to pump excess water out of Friesland, a province in the north of the Netherlands. In 1967 the 47 years old coal furnaces were converted to run on heavy fuel oil. It has a pumping capacity of 4,000 m3/min.

PIER+HORIZON by Paul de Kort lies in the Zwarte Meer lake in the Noordoostpolder. This landscape artwork follows the line to Oud Kraggenburg, along what used to be a breakwater. Even before the draining of the Noordoostpolder in Flevoland, there was a 6km-long breakwater here extending into the water of the Zuiderzee (now the Zwarte Meer). It linked the lighthouse keeper’s house Oud Kraggenburg to the mainland at Genemuiden.

De Rottige Meente is a Dutch nature reserve in the province of Friesland , along the border with Overijssel . It was created in the 19th century and 20th century by peat painting . The area is part of the main ecological structure of the Netherlands and is a Habitats Directive area . As of 2005 , more than 1000 ha in this area were owned by Staatsbosbeheer .

Weerribben-Wieden National Park is a national park in the Dutch province of Overijssel , municipalities of Steenwijkerland and Zwartewaterland . The national park is the largest continuous peat bog in northwestern Europe. Comprising the largest bog of Northwestern Europe, the park consists of two areas, De Weerribben and De Wieden; it has an area of roughly 100 square kilometres . The park was founded in 1992, although De Wieden was added later, in 2009.

Geographically, the lock is located in the municipality of Dronten.The Roggebotsluis is a lock that connects the Drontermeer with the Vossemeer . Sybrandy's Speelpark is a small-scale amusement park southwest of Oudemirdum in southwest Friesland on the IJsselmeer coast. The park is mainly aimed at children between 3 and 13 years old and consists of a large playground with various attractions. For that reason, the park is also called a playground amusement park . Despite its small size, Sybrandy's Speelpark is still considered one of the larger attractions in Friesland. This is partly due to the large reach of Friesland.
