The Poldertoren is a water tower in the center of Emmeloord . The tower was built between 1957 and 1959 . With a height of 65.30 meters, this water tower is one of the tallest water towers in the Netherlands. The tower has a large carillon . The tower, which no longer serves as a water tower, has been a national monument since 2014. The tower houses, among other things, the tourist office with ANWB shop, an office and, at the height of the clock, restaurant Sonoy with a Michelin star.
