This beach is part of Penang Wildlife Sanctuary and green turtles nest here from April to August. Hearing the name 'Turtle Beach' we were expecting to see turtles filled in the beach but was very disappointed since our timing was so off. The beach is really lovely, neat and clean and there are hiking trails starting from the beach which crosses through the forests of the sanctuary. During the time we were visiting, the whole Malaysia was under heavy rain and the climate was very moody. The boat ride from Teluk Bahang (I am not sure if the name is correct) to the beach mimicked a scene that of Jurassic Park- dark, with the creepy sounds of forest and mists forming on its top. At the beach we just roamed around the area, then got lost in one of the trails and visited the turtle hatchery building (but there were no turtles, again). There is a lake too near the beach if I am not wrong. I am not very sure if it is possible to swim in the water in this beach, in any case the beach is very beautiful.
