A settlement nestled in the thickly forested Malenadu region of the Western Ghats mountain range. Owing to its high rainfall, it is referred to as "The Cherrarapunji of the south". Agumbe is associated with rainforest conservation efforts, documentation of medicinal plants, trekking, and photography. There is also a sanctuary for King Cobra here.

Nestled within the lush green folds of Saravathi wildlife sanctuary, it is a storied waterfall reachable through picturesque trails.
Accessed by hiking, this is a series of six cascading waterfalls hidden from one other. The trek from the first fall to the 6th fall includes steeper trek that runs through forest, water, and rocks.
13th highest peak of Karnataka state. Surrounded by dense forests and breathtaking views, it is a major attraction for hikers. At the top of the peak stands a stone-built temple dedicated to Adi Shankara.
