Museum Volkenkunde has been a Dutch national museum in Leiden since 1837 . In 1937 it was established in a monumental building complex on the edge of the city center. Before that it served as a teaching hospital. Since 2013, the museum has been part of the National Museum of World Cultures. The collection includes many artifacts from Africa , Greenland , China , Indonesia , Japan , Korea , Latin America , North America , Oceania , Southwest, South, Central and Southeast Asia .

Sea Life Scheveningen is a large marine aquarium in Scheveningen. The building is located on the boulevard on the beach where the wave pool used to be. There are often exhibits on certain topics such as tropical fish, lobsters , crabs , jellyfish and starfish.You can see many types of fish such as sharks and rays , but also sea turtles and otters. The fish are fed at certain times. There is also a large glass tunnel through an aquarium , where you can really imagine yourself among the fish.

Sonneveld House in the South Holland city of Rotterdam was built in 1932 and 1933 by architect Leendert van der Vlugt of Bureau Brinkman & van der Vlugt. Huis Sonneveld is a national monument , together with the nearby Huis Boevé , designed by the same architect in the same style. The design of the interior, the execution of the carpentry, the choice of upholstery and furniture, as well as the design of the outdoor space are tuned in detail to the functional layout of the building.

The city hall on Coolsingel in Rotterdam was built between 1914 and 1920 to a design by Henri Evers. It is one of the few buildings in the center of Rotterdam that survived the bombing of 14 May 1940. It has a floor area of 86 by 106 meters and is built around a large courtyard with two passages on both sides to the Stadhuisstraat and the Doelwater. The bell tower is 71 meters high and stands above the main hall. Atop the tower is the statue of a golden angel of peace by sculptor Johan Keller.
