Onnerpolder

The Onnerpolder is a nature reserve and a former water board in the province of Groningen. The Oostpolder and the Onnerpolder have traditionally been real meadow bird areas. Nationally, meadow birds are declining drastically and Het Groninger Landschap is taking a number of measures to prevent this in the Oost- and Onnerpolder.

Oosterpark is a small park in the east of the city of Groningen . It is located in the district of the same name . Until 2005, the Oosterpark Stadium was located in the park. it is one of the iconic location in this area and also you can have many leisure activities here.
Oostersluis

The Oostersluis is the large lock between the Van Starkenborgh Canal and the Eems Canal , both CEMT-class Va. The lock is located on the east side of the city of Groningen , in the watershed between the basin of De Waterwolf and that of the Eemskanaal. The lock was built in the 1930s and rebuilt in the 1990s because it did not meet the requirements imposed on the lock in connection with the subsidence caused by gas extraction .

This is a small park in the north of the city of Groningen. The park is located between the Selwerd and Paddepoel districts , between Eikenlaan and the Northern ring road. On the northern side of the ring road, the park merges into the site of the former castle Selwerd and the Paddepoelsterweg towards the Van Starkenborgh Canal. The park was created in the 1970s as a neighborhood park for Selwerd and Paddepoel. The route of the Pieterpad runs through the park.

Park Meerstad is an almost 10 hectare city park under construction in the Meerstad district of the Dutch city of Groningen . It is the largest public land art project in the Netherlands. The park is located on the Woldmeer and is made up of artificial ridges overgrown with grasses, flowers and about 500 trees. A straight bike path and a number of hiking trails cut through the park, which also has a water feature and some ecological gradient zones .

The Prinsentuin is a garden built in renaissance style that is located in Groningen. Behind the Prinsenhof,this Garden consists of a rose garden, a herb garden, a part with berceaus and a sundial on the wall above the entrance. On the side of the Turfsingel the garden is fenced of by a high wall. On one side you can still see a bit of the blu wall, that once stood optop of this wall.

Sassenhein is a private nature reserve in the municipality of Groningen , located south of the village of Haren. The area consists of two lakes , the Noordplas and the Zuidplas. There is a pavilion at the Noordplas. The lakes are especially popular with fishermen and nature lovers.

Selwerd is a residential area in the city of Groningen and a neighborhood within the Noordwest district of the Dutch municipality of Groningen. Selwerd was originally the name for an area north of the city of Groningen. Since the 1960s, part of that area has been a residential area of the city.

The Sint Anthonygasthuis is a guest house in the city of Groningen . It is located on the Rademarkt opposite the police headquarters. The guest house was founded in 1517 and was partly built with stones from the demolished Edzard Castle across the road. It was located on the edge of the former city, against the city wall. That location must have been deliberately chosen, because it originally also served as a plague house.
St Walfridus Church

A majestic church located in the Bedum, Netherlands dedicated to Saint Walfridus. The church was founded ca. 1050. The tower is leaning a whopping 4,19 degrees, which is more than the 3,97 degrees of the tower of Pisa. The Stadspark in Groningen is an approximately 140 hectare park on the southwest side of the city in the Stadsparkwijk. It is a municipal monument. The City Park is laid out in a low-lying, swampy peat area that is covered with a layer of clay and sand from the excavated pond at the walking areas. It is made up of a number of parts. An Arboretum is located at the entrance, on the Paterswoldseweg. West of the trotting track, on the edge of the pond, is the pavilion from 1926.

Sterrebos is a park in the Dutch city of Groningen, northwest of the Helpman district . It is a municipal monument. In the plans for the deepened construction of the southern ring road, Sterrebos will become part of the planned Zuiderplantsoen. Originally it was actually a star forest, a forest with eight paths that led in different directions from a central point. This setup, which was in vogue in the eighteenth century and was ideally suited for hunting, has largely been lost.

The synagogue is a Jewish building completed in 1906 at Folkingestraat 60 in the Dutch city of Groningen . On the Nieuwstad side , the building adjoins the older Rabbinaatshuis from 1890. Behind the building are remnants of the former Zwaantjesgang.The building is characterized by its neo-Moorish style , with many oriental horseshoe and keyhole arches in the windows and galleries. It is the last and most exuberant example of this style in the Netherlands.

The University Museum has been a science museum since 1934 in the academic heart of the student city of Groningen. The collection consists of objects related to nature, culture and science. The exhibitions of the museum include a collection of flowers and seeds, an anatomical and pathological collection, a psychological collection, an anthropological collection and objects related to Aletta Jacobs' s, the first Dutch female doctor.
Van Ketwich Verschuurbrug

The Van Ketwich Verschuurbrug is a vertical lift bridge in the city of Groningen over the Noord-Willemskanaal. The bridge is located where the Van Ketwich Verschuurlaan changes into the Laan Corpus den Hoorn and is the southernmost bridge over the Noord-Willemskanaal in the municipality of Groningen. This bridge, together with the Van Iddekinge bridge, forms the connection between the De Wijert and Corpus den Hoorn districts.
