Castello San Giorgio

The Castle of San Giorgio is an ancient Genoese fortification on the high ground of the city of La Spezia called "Colle del Poggio". Fortezza del Priamar

The Priamar di Savona fortress is an imposing military complex that dominates the city center at the port. Built between 1542 and 1544 by the Genoese as part of the interventions aimed at the definitive subjugation of the city of Savona by the "Superba", and extended several times, it takes its name from the hill immediately overlooking the sea on which it stands, where the finds of the first inhabited settlements date back to the Bronze Age.

Fortezza di Sarzanello

The fortress of Sarzanello is a military fortification that rises in via alla Fortezza on the hill of Sarzanello, near Sarzana, in the province of La Spezia, and dominates the Val di Magra from above. Its nature and its position make it one of the symbols of the city of Sarzana. Since December 2014, the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities has been managing it through the Liguria Museum Complex, which in December 2019 became the Regional Directorate for Museums.
