The Basòdino is a mountain in the Lepontine Alps on the border between Italy and Switzerland. It is the second-highest peak in the canton of Ticino, after the Rheinwaldhorn. On its summit is located a geodetic point of IGM named 05A901 Monte Basodino. One of the beautiful trekking destination in this area and also it offers a panoramic view of the area from the summit.

San Giacomo Pass is an international high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.313m above the sea level, located in the Lepontine Alps, on the Swiss-Italian border. On the Italian side, the road is extreme: full of hairpins, narrow, gravel, washed out and impassable from September to June. It's a 4x4 track. On the Swiss side, it’s just a walking path. It is situated between the valleys of Leventina, Val Bavona and Valle di Peccia the latter two belonging to the Valle Maggia.
