One of the best beach I have been in Kerala. White sands, not too crowded (both times while we were there) and it's safe to swim!!

The beach boundary is lined with coconut trees and there are some small shops that sell tea, snacks and coconut water. And also if you are tempted to sit on the chairs that overlook the sea, note that you have to pay for it. The white sanded beach is pretty good to sit on anyway.
