The first (and only so far) time I rode an elephant!
This was such an exciting event. Since childhood I wanted to ride on one and that finally happend in 2012. Honestly, it did not disappoint at all. Felt like a king ;P
The elephants are very gentle, they would even pose for photos and you can hold their trunks!! (just ask the mahouts before you do anything though). The ride last only 3-5 minutes and its a bit on the pricey side but the experience really worth it.
One strange thing I found about elephants that day was that they smell of urine. I do not know if its because they are not washed in a while, but I particularly remember the smell.
