Sweet spot near home. There is a small island created by the Tejaswini river.

The water is not too deep in most places so you can take a dip if you would like. During the rainy season the water gets too high with strong currents so don't go in the waters then.

This is a small and hidden place but a good spot for hanging out in the evening enjoying the breeze and the scenery.

Might be a little difficult to reach here, you will have to ask the local for the directions in the last 3 km or so. The road reaches right to the river side.

Once at the place, you can swim in the small channel of the split river, dont go anywhere near the large one. Recommended to have some locals in the company so that they will know the dangers better.

Palayi Kadavu is pretty much hidden from outsiders. A couple of kilometers away from Nileshwar town is Palayi Kadavu with its amazing view of coconut plantations bordering its banks, and the slowly moving picturesque Tejaswini river. The river which is rather small upstream looks mighty here, nearing its completion of journey to the Arabian Sea.
