About Terra Maris

Terra Maris is a museum for nature and landscape of Zeeland , located in the village of Oostkapelle. The museum is located on the Manteling van Walcheren , only 750 meters from the beach. The museum is the successor of the Zeeuws Biologisch Museum, which was acquired by Het Zeeuwse Landschap in 2004. The museum includes a landscape garden of 2.5 hectares, in which different landscape types are presented. There is a museum café and a museum shop.

Marie Tak van Poortvliet Museum Domburg

The Marie Tak van Poortvliet Museum in the Zeeland city of Domburg is a museum for visual arts . The museum organizes exhibitions two or three times a year and has a sculpture garden and a modest collection of its own that is not on permanent display. The museum is housed in a replica designed by Cees Dam in 1994 of the original exhibition room, which Marie Tak van Poortvliet had built and which housed a large number of artists.

Oranjezon is a Dutch nature reserve of approximately 400 hectares on the Zeeland Walcheren near Vrouwenpolder. Until 1995 it was used as a water extraction area. The area provided drinking water for Middelburg and later Walcheren ; an open water extraction channel was dug for this purpose as part of the employment provision. Although the area no longer serves as a water extraction area, the pumping station of the same name is still being maintained.
