The nature reserve is approximately 740 hectares in size and consists of country estates, forests and low-lime dunes with wet dune valleys, dune grasslands and dune shrubbery. The Veerse Gatdam is a dam of about one kilometer between Vrouwepolder on Walchren and D'n Banjaerd on North-Beveland. This dam is part of the Delta Works .The dam is 2.8 kilometers long and connects Walcheren with Noord-Beveland . The dam is partly constructed as an asphalt - covered dike on the Plate of Onrust . For the remainder, submersible caissons were used.

Terra Maris is a museum for nature and landscape of Zeeland , located in the village of Oostkapelle. The museum is located on the Manteling van Walcheren , only 750 meters from the beach. The museum is the successor of the Zeeuws Biologisch Museum, which was acquired by Het Zeeuwse Landschap in 2004. The museum includes a landscape garden of 2.5 hectares, in which different landscape types are presented. There is a museum café and a museum shop.

A nice family beach with wooden walkways to the water, a beautiful beach pavilion, beach houses and an active rescue brigade. The 3.2 kilometer-long Banjaardstrand on the north-west side of Noord-Beveland is a real gem. The family beach on the North Sea is 500 meters wide in some places and has something to offer for everyone. The beach is also accessible for the disabled.

The Marie Tak van Poortvliet Museum in the Zeeland city of Domburg is a museum for visual arts . The museum organizes exhibitions two or three times a year and has a sculpture garden and a modest collection of its own that is not on permanent display. The museum is housed in a replica designed by Cees Dam in 1994 of the original exhibition room, which Marie Tak van Poortvliet had built and which housed a large number of artists.
