De Boschplaat is a nature reserve on the east side of the Dutch Wadden island of Terschelling . It measures approximately 10 by 5 kilometers and has been managed by Staatsbosbeheer since 1910 . The area has been awarded the European Diploma in Nature Management since 1970. The adjacent beach at the Boschplaat is really beautiful. We personally think this is the most beautiful piece of sandy beach on Terschelling. The beach is very wide and during our walk we hardly encountered any other people.

The drowning house is a monument located in the southwest of the Vliehors on the Wadden Island of Vlieland and furnished as a small beachcombers museum. The cottage dates from 1890 and was built here as a shelter for castaways . If a ship was wrecked in a storm, they could reach the striking white-painted cottage where blankets, simple foodstuffs and water were stored. There was also a telephone connection with a post house more than eight kilometers away.

The sandbank is only able to support some temporary colonisation by the grass species sand couch.

Paardengraf Ameland is a grave for horses at Hollum on Ameland in the Dutch province of Friesland. The horses are buried in the dunes on the east side of the Lifeboat Path. It is not a horse grave with a deceased person. A memorial stone commemorates the disaster day. The stone of Swedish granite was donated to the island by the company Hoogenberg-Wegerif.
