The Luigi Zacchi refuge is an alpine refuge, located in the territory of the municipality of Tarvisio under the west face of Ponza Grande, in the woods, inserted in the amphitheater formed by the Ponzi , the Veunza and the Mangart , which enclose the protected area of the Park of Fusine. This was hit by an avalanche in 1932. The current structure was inaugurated on July 17, 1949, as a refuge for the CAI of Tarvisio and later in 1952 named after the colonel of the Alpini Luigi Zacchi.
