Villacher Alpenstraße - 4 Things to Know Before Visiting

The Dobratsch Nature Park is situated on the Villacher Alpe in Carinthia. It has long been one of the Austrian regions which has dedicated itself to soft tourism. The keeping of animals is semi-free compared to other zoos, which means that the animals live in a fenced, wooded property, which represents a 40,000 m² habitat for the monkeys. The Affenberg is a category A zoo operation under Austrian law. It has around 120,000 visitors annually and does not receive any public funding.
