Lake Ossiach - 4 Things to Know Before Visiting

Gerlitzen is a small and friendly resort for beginners and improving skiers to practise their skills. The resort has excellent beginner areas and wide, safe runs on well-groomed slopes. The lifts from the Kanzelhoehe, from Kloesterle and from Birkenhof come together up on the 1911 m high Gerlitzen Alpe. The entire ski resort lies at your feet from up there and you can ski down in all directions.

The Alpe-Adria-Trail connects the three regions of Carinthia, Slovenia and Friuli-Venezia Giulia, and covers a total of 43 stages. It has been designed mainly with pleasure hikers in mind. The Trail runs mainly through the non-Alpine area and as far as possible there are only slight differences in altitude.

The Affenberg is a category A zoo operation under Austrian law. It has around 120,000 visitors annually and does not receive any public funding.
