Lady Hydari Park

This is a park with a small zoo situated in the heart of Shillong city. There are deer, bear, pelican and some other animals in the zoo, and the garden nearby is a good place to hangout. There is a forest museum as well in the park containing skulls and skins of animals. This is a nice place to spend an hour or so, walking by the animal enclosures and the museum. The place was very crowded when we visited it- school children, couples, elderly, all of them are seen hanging around here. There is a bully pelican too in the pools which was stealing all the food away from the ducks and making a lot of noice ;).
