The flying saucer used to be a supermarket in the 1970s and was bought up by the Sharjah Art Foundation to preserve it. During the time of the Sharjah Biennale there are exhibitions in the building. When we were there, we could watch videos by Indian artists and see installations. Sometimes they also hold events outside of the biennale, best is to look it up the program on the website of the art foundation.
