The Ha Giang Loop was a dream come true and my 2020 highlight (take that Covid-19). I booked a tour through the Cheers Hostel in Hanoi. You don't need to stay at the hostel to take the tour. I added a picture of a map of the different places you will visit during the tour. Because it is quite dangerous to ride your bike on steep edges, I opted to go on the back of a bike with a guide. We explored the area for three days and the guide has grsat picture taking skills! In December it was quite cold so I recommend to either go at a different time or bring nice and warm clothes. Accomodation was relatively basic but I was never hungry and always had a private room. The views and vistas are incredible and I wish I could do it again soon.
