This is the place where the famous instagram pictures of fields filled with water lilies comes from. My camera does not do justice to the actual scene though. In reality, a large area is completely covered in bloomed lilies, sort of like pink velvet covering the ground. To be honest we got lucky while we visited, as usually all the fields fill be cleared of the lilies for rice cultivation mid September. A huge portion of the field was pending clearing due to higher water levels, that is why we were able to witness it. The phenomenon happen annually from July to September so if you go there any other time, you will either see paddy fields in all directions or fields filled with mud. Also, the flowers close to a tulip when sunlight hits on them so your only option to view is either to be there early morning.
