The nature reserve around the Greifensee lake is a paradise for all those who like to be out and about in the fresh air. It was a beautiful experience for cyclists, hikers, and also for families. There are also so many picnic areas and bathing points on the way.

Katzensee is a lake on the border of the city of Zürich and Regensdorf in the Canton of Zürich, Switzerland. Its surface area is 36 ha (89 acres). There's also the public bath/lido Strandbad Katzensee on its southernly shore.

Lake Zürich is formed by the Linth river, which rises in the glaciers of the Glarus Alps and was diverted by the Escher canal into Lake Walen from where its waters are carried to the east end of Lake Zürich by means of the Linth canal. The waters of the Lake of Zürich flow out of the lake at its north-west end, passing through the city of Zürich.

The Sihl is a Swiss river that rises near the Druesberg mountain in the canton of Schwyz and eventually flows into the Limmat in the center of the city of Zürich. It has a length of 73 km, including the Sihlsee reservoir, through which the river flows. Water is abstracted from the river at the Sihlsee, leading to decreased downstream water flows and a consequent reduction in water quality.

A beautiful lake located in the heart of Zurich and this 1.4 kilometers long and 500-meter wide lake is listed in the Inventory of Landscapes and Natural Monuments of National Importance. The lake is a popular recreation area in the Zürich region. A lido and other beaches and walkways along the lake offer natural bathing facilities for adults and children.
