Meenmutty waterfalls-Wayanad

The tallest falls in Wayanad district, cascading through three stages at a height of 300 meters.

Meenuliyan Para

A huge rock rising over 4,000 feet with an evergreen forest on top of it. The peaks are covered in mist in rainy days but otherwise, you will be able to see the Periyar river flowing below as a silver stream, and parts of the city of Cochin far away.

Mini Ooty (Arimbra Hills)

Arimbra Hills earned its more popular name Mini Ooty due to its resemblence with the well known hill station of southern India- Ooty. The place is known for its rolling hills and scenic views. You can also view the runway of Kozhikode airport with closer look at takeoffs and landings from here.

Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary

Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary, located 16 km from Sulthan Bathery is a part of the Nilgiri Biosphere area connecting Nagarhole and Bandipur national parks in Karnataka with Madumalai national park in Tamil Nadu. Spread over an area of 345 square km, the sanctuary is an abode of rich flora and fauna.

Paithalmala

Paithalmala is a mountain peak in the Kannur District of Kerala State in Southern India. Located at Pottenplave Village, this is the highest peak in Kannur, at a height of 1,372 meters above sea level. The peak lies on the Kerala- Karnataka border, adjacent to the Coorg Hills as an extension to the forests of the Kodagu Hills of the Western Ghat Mountains.

Pakshipathalam

Pakshipathalam, a natural rock cave deep inside the forest in the Wayanad district of Kerala State in Southern India lies at a height of 1,740 meters in the Brahmagiri hill ranges. The trekking trail here is famous for its richness of bird life and it takes you through moist deciduous forests, rolling hillocks, open grasslands, slippery trails, and narrow rocky caves.

Panniyarmani Meadow

The meadow, situated in the middle of the forest and accessible by hiking a steep hill for about an hour comes with amazing views of the forest canopy, 360-degree view of the Western Ghat mountain ranges. The meadow is home for various kinds of honey bees and butterflies, and you will see a lot of uniqie, wildflowers.

Ranipuram Peak

Ranipuram peak, located 750 meters above sea level in the Western Ghat mountains situates in the Kasaragod district of Kerala State in Southern India. It is one of the popular trekking destinations in the district. The hill is covered in evergreen stunted tropical montane forest, tropical forest, and grasslands.

Sabarimala

Temple complex located inside a Tiger reserve. One of the largest annual pilgrimage in the world happens here- with 40 to 50 million devotees visiting it every year.

Sasippara- ശശ്ശിപ്പാറ

Sasipara sits at a height of 1220 meters above sea level with views of many small towns and continuos mountains of the Western Ghats. From here, there are trekking routes to Coorg- the popular tourist destination in Karnataka and to many nearby villages. This is a very less explored attraction in the region.

Thattekad Bird Sanctuary

First bird sanctuary in Kerala. One of the richest bird habitat on peninsular India. "Thattekkad" means flat forest- the region is an evergreen low-land forest.

Thayyeni Koomban

Thayyeni Koomban, translated to Thayyeni peak is a mountain peak in the Western Ghats mountain ranges. It is the highest peak in its vicinity and can be seen from 10-15 KM away. The top is located 850 meters above sea level and an exhausting hike through forest and grasslands is required to reach the peak.

Thenmala Dam

Thenmala Dam, located in Kollam district of Kerala is the second largest irrigation project in the state of Kerala. The water from the dam is used for irrigation and for power generation. It has the longest reservoir of the state.

Thommankuthu Waterfalls

Thommankuthu Waterfall is not a single fall, but a series of waterfalls set in a 12 km hiking stretch on river Kaliyar. The falls are inside the forest with each having pools at its bottom which are good for a dive. The falls are situated in the Idukki District of Kerala State in Southern India.
