Castellum Hoge Woerd
Castellum Hoge Woerd is a contemporary reconstruction of a Roman fort in the Dutch hometown of De Meern . It houses, among other things, the Hoge Woerd Archaeological Museum , the Podium Hoge Woerd theater hall , a center for nature and environmental education and a café-restaurant. The largest object in the Hoge Woerd Museum is a 25 meter long Roman river prae from the 2nd century.

Fort Blauwkapel
Fort Blauwkapel is a Dutch fort near Utrecht . The fort was built in 1818-1821 as part of the New Dutch Waterline and is one of the largest forts of the line.The 19th century fort has a quadrangular basic shape with an extension in each corner (bastion). Around 1850 the bombproof guardhouse was built on the reduit. Two more bombproof barracks were added later, one of which remains.

Fort Rhijnauwen
Fort bij Rijnauwen is a Dutch fortress near the hamlet Rhijnauwen in the municipality of Bunnik. It is part of the New Dutch Waterline. With an area of ​​32 hectares , this is the largest fortress in the NHW. It was built in 1867 - 1869 as part of the forward line forts near Utrecht. This forward line served to close off the Houtense Vlakte. The fortress is built according to the modern polygonal system.
