About Fort Blauwkapel
Fort Blauwkapel is a Dutch fort near Utrecht . The fort was built in 1818-1821 as part of the New Dutch Waterline and is one of the largest forts of the line.The 19th century fort has a quadrangular basic shape with an extension in each corner (bastion). Around 1850 the bombproof guardhouse was built on the reduit. Two more bombproof barracks were added later, one of which remains.Address : Bastionweg 2, 3566 MK Utrecht, Netherlands
