Brechin Town House Museum

Brechin Town House Museum is located within a historic municipal building, constructed around 1789-90, in the centre of the Cathedral City of Brechin.It gives visitors the chance to explore the history of the city and its people, with a rich collection of objects, photographs, archival material and ephemera.

Forfar Meffan Museum

The Meffan Museum and Art Gallery is the flagship venue for Angus Council's fine art collection. Here two galleries are devoted to art exhibitions, bringing the work of a range of contemporary Scottish artists to Angus. Two further galleries explore 'The Forfar Story' from the time of Pictish artistic endeavour. Here a stunning collection of Pictish Stones is displayed to best advantage so both front and rear of these enigmatic sculptured stones can be closely examined.

Kirriemuir Gateway to the Glens Museum

Gateway to the Glens Museum is situated in Kirriemuir Town House. Built as the town's jail and courthouse it has been at the heart of Kirriemuir since its construction in 1604. St Vigeans Sculptured Stones and Museum

St Vigeans Sculptured Stones Museum, located in the Angus village of St Vigeans, houses an outstanding collection of Pictish carved stones. IT has 38 carved stones which once stood up in the old church and are amongst the last of Pictish art, making them internationally important. The displays include hands-on interactives, audio and tactile elements and a touch screen database through which the detail of the stones can be explored.
