Isola Maggiore

L ' Isola Maggiore is one of three natural islands of the Lake Trasimeno in Umbria. Administratively, it is a fraction of the municipality of Tuoro Sul Trasimeno in the province of Perugia. It has 15 inhabitants and has an area of ​​24 hectares, enclosed in a perimeter of 2 km. The coast of the island is located at 258 m asl, while the summit reaches the level of 309 m.

Isola Polvese

The Polvese island is the largest of the three existing in Lake Trasimeno, in Umbria. Used as a scientific-educational park, it is owned by the province of Perugia. Mainly based on fishing in the past centuries, now the island lives above all on environmental tourism. In fact, the presence of a small beach and areas equipped for outdoor snacks, as well as a restaurant, attract a large number of tourists during the summer.
