Presqu'île de la Caravelle is a peninsula in Martinique located on the Atlantic coast , in Tartane . 12 km long , its highest point is the Morne Pavillon, with a height of 189 m. This place was Characterized by sugar cane fields , it conceals at its end the National Nature Reserve of the Caravelle peninsula , with an area of 400 hectares. Its hiking trails lead to the edge of a mangrove swamp at the foot of the ruins of Château Dubuc , a former “home” of slave settlers.
The petrification savannah is an almost desert arid zone located in the town of Sainte-Anne , in Martinique . The coastal path of the Trace des Caps crosses this place. We could observe petrified trees there , collectors and residents have collected all the rocks. It was one of the unique locations in this area and also Popular with walking fans, the path that goes through the Petrification Savannah is a small part of the famous Capes Trail hike.
