It is located around 8 km northwest of the city of Solothurn on the municipality of Selzach and forms the highest elevation in the canton of Solothurn. The mountain is considered a beautiful vantage point and local recreation destination for the Solothurn region. A road leads to the summit area, where there is a take-off point for paragliders.
