Piedmont is a region in northwest Italy, one of the 20 regions of the country. It borders the Liguria region to the south, the Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna regions to the east, and the Aosta Valley region to the northwest; it also borders Switzerland to the northeast and France to the west. The Oasi Zegna is a naturalistic area with free and open access in the province of Biella, Piedmont. The Alpe Veglia and Alpe Devero Natural Park is a protected natural area located in Piedmont, in the northernmost part of the Ossola Valley, in the Verbano-Cusio-Ossola province. It was established in 1995 and includes two large alpine basins, Alpe Veglia located at the head of Val Cairasca, a side valley of Val Divedro, and Alpe Devero located at the head of Valle di Devero, a side valley of Valle Antigorio which departs shortly after.
