3 Museums to Explore in Carinthia

The Museum Liaunig is an art museum in Neuhaus that, houses collections composed of 3000 artworks by Austrian contemporary artists and of African jewels. The existing exhibition spaces, a viewable storage area, a wing for paintings and sculptures, a 160m long hall for temporary display, a room for graphic art and another room for the renowned gold collection, are being expanded by new, mostly underground situated components.

The museum focuses on various collections of the Carinthian province. The Burgkapelle serves as project room for artists. It shows modern and contemporary art on an exhibition space of around 1000 square meters .

The Werner-Berg-Museum offers a representative overview of the lifetime work of the artist Werner Berg, born in Wuppertal Elberfeld.
