The Almtal is a valley in the Traunviertel in the Upper Austrian Alps through which the Alm flows. As the Lower Almtal , the valley area is one of the 41 Upper Austrian spatial units ; as the Almtal tourist region , it is part of the Salzkammergut . It stretches between the Trauntal in the west and Kremstal in the east for about 25 km in the Upper Austrian Pre-Alps.

The Johannesweg is a supraregional hiking and pilgrimage route in the lower Mühlviertel. The 84 km long Johannesweg trail, laid out as a circular hiking trail, leads through seven communities in the Freistadt district. It is designed as a meditation path, the course of which is modeled on the outline of a lily , and is equipped with 12 meditation locations for text passages from the Gospel of John.
The Reichraminger Hintergebirge is considered the largest closed and practically uninhabited forest area in Austria and belongs to a large extent to the Kalkalpen National Park. It lies on the border between Upper Austria and Styria, in the knee of the Enns. It is one of the iconic attraction in this area and also there are so many other options for adventure here.
Ciclabile del Danubio is a long-distance cycle path that starts from the source of the Danube and reaches its mouth in the Black Sea . The Danube cycle path runs for the most part on both banks of the river, although in part it is present on only one bank, so that during the journey it is necessary to cross the Danube several times. The cycle path follows an ancient Roman roadalong the Danube limes which connected the stations, castles and fortifications up to the Danube Delta .
The Schlögener Schlinge is a river loop in the upper Danube valley in Upper Austria. The southern shore is located in the municipality of Haibach ob der Donau and its district Schlögen, which gives the loop the name. In the north, the municipalities of Hofkirchen im Mühlkreis border with the village Au and in the far east Niederkappel with the village Grafenau in the area of the Danube River.
