Avalon State Park is a Florida State Park, located on North Hutchinson Island, 4 miles north of Fort Pierce Inlet State Park, along A1A. Florida state parks are open between 8 a.m. and sundown every day of the year .

Clover Park, is a small coastal town comprised of stunning shoreline and family-friendly neighborhoods. Nature lovers can spend hours walking along the breathtaking stretch of beach, marine wildlife abound amidst the wetlands nearby, and canoeing and kayaking are popular activities on the lake situated centrally within the town limits. For more daring recreation, locals and visitors alike enjoy skydiving high among Gulfstream clouds.

Harmon Elliott built the original Elliott Museum in 1961 as a tribute to Sterling Elliott. On November 18, 1961, the Historical Society of Martin County received it. As time passed, the original building became damaged, and the spaces could no longer accommodate the museum's operation. The Elliott Museum hosts a variety of programs and lectures throughout the year. The annual Classics at the Beach car show is held every Spring and attracts a number of vintage car enthusiasts.

Fort Pierce Inlet State Park is a 340-acre part of the Florida State Park system. It consists of beaches, dunes and a coastal hammock between the Atlantic Ocean and the waters of Tucker Cove, an indentation of the Indian River Lagoon.

Heathcote Botanical Gardens is a five-acre subtropical botanical garden located at 210 Savannah Road, Fort Pierce. It currently includes a Japanese garden with teahouse, Reflection Garden, Herb Garden, Rainforest Display, Native Plants Garden, Children's Garden, and a Palm and Cycad Walk.

Known for beautiful beaches, nature preserves and parks. The two islands are separated by the Fort Pierce Inlet and are known as North Hutchinson Island and South Hutchinson Island. North Hutchinson Island is divided into two counties - Indian River County and St. Lucie County.

Jetty Park, is an ideal spot for a peaceful beach vacation. The park offers several camping and lodging options that range from cabins and full service RV sites to primitive camping on the beach. Also known as the Navy SEAL Museum, is located in St. Lucie County. It houses exhibits to inform and educate on the role of Navy Underwater Demolition Teams. The museum also preserves the history of the SEALs (the original Navy frogmen first trained outside of Fort Pierce).

Savannas Preserve State Park is a Florida State Park, located along much of the Atlantic Coast between Fort Pierce and Jensen Beach. Savannas Preserve also has a group of youth volunteers, the Junior Friends of Savannas Preserve State Park.

The St. Lucie County Aquarium offers visitors a chance to experience the wonders of our ocean and estuarine ecosystems. Featuring over 190 native species, the aquarium allows guests to explore the different habitats that make up coastal Florida. From sea urchins, otters, turtles and sharks to jellyfish, Florida Game fish and even alligators, there's no shortage of fascinating creatures on display. Visitors can tour a touch tank and learn more about what is happening under the sea.

White City Park is a great destination for nature lovers. Spanning over 500 acres of nature preserve, this park provides numerous opportunities to explore wildlife and nature through walking trails and boardwalks, boat tours and volunteer activities. There are multiple camping sites available, as well as large picnic shelters perfect for family gatherings or team building exercises. For those interested in fishing, the park has two large ponds full of bluegill, bass and catfish.
