Magadi Bird Sanctuary

Mandagadde Bird Sanctuary

One of the 20 important sanctuaries in India. The sanctuary is situated on an island that spans an area of 1.14 acres and it is surrounded by forest and river Tunga. Over 5,000 birds here during the peak season from July to September, boating can be taken for closer viewing of the nesting birds.

An estuarine mangrove habitat declared as a Bird sanctuary. The sanctuary is named after Salim Ali, the eminent Indian Ornithologist. Accessed by a ferry service running between Ribander and Chorão, it sanctuary has a paved walk that runs between mangroves.

Sultanpur National Park

Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary is an amazing escape, especially for nature lovers and birding enthusiasts. It is home to a number of migratory birds and is a great spot for spotting the various species, especially during winters. Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary is located at a distance of 40 kilometres from Dhaula-Kuan in Delhi on the Gurgaon-Farukh Nagar Road. There are astonishing 250 species of birds here during the peak season, i.e. September and during winters.
