Chilika is largest brackish water estuarine Lake of Asia. It sprawls over an area of 1100 sqkms. Covering parts of three districts of Odisha i.e Puri on the East, Khurda on the North and Ganjam on the South. It is the largest coastal lagoon in India and the second largest lagoon in the World. Satapada is one of the most popular tourist place of Odisha.

Kanakdurga temple of Chilkigarh is the main attraction of the district. The temple is covered in the west by a dense forest that is covered with medicinal plant of 433 types and has a beautiful river that flows between the raj palace of Chilkigarh and Kanakdurga temple.

Dal Lake is a small mid-altitude lake(1,775 meters above sea level) situated at a distance of 11 kilometers away from Dharamshala near the village of Tota Rani on Macleodganj Naddi road in district Kangra Himachal Pradesh.Dal Lake is 2KM walk westwards from MacLeodganj bazaar. Nestling amidst lush green forests of deodar trees, the Dal Lake is famous for its scenic beauty and pilgrimage center.

also called Dawan River is a river in western India. The river's headwaters are on the western slope of the Western Ghats range, and it flows west into the Arabian Sea. The river flows through Maharashtra and Gujarat states, as well as the Union territories of Daman and Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli. The historical monuments "Moti daman and NaniDAman" are situated on the banks of this river.

Damdama Lake is a small lake in Haryana and was formed when a stone and earthen dam constructed by the British was commissioned for rain water harvesting in 2019. The lake, held by an embankment, is fed mainly by monsoon rain pouring into a trough at the base of the Aravali hills. The Lake greets visitors with a water level down to 20 ft.

Damodar kund is one of the sacred lakes as per Hindu beliefs, which is located at the foothills of Girnar hills, near Junagadh. It is considered holy, as per Hindu mythology and many Hindus prefer to bathe and immerse the ashes and the bones left after cremation of dead bodies, here at Damodar Kund due to a belief that the departed souls would get moksha here.

Deoria Tal (also Devaria' or 'Deoriya) is a lake about 3 km from the villages of Mastura and Sari on the Ukhimath-Chopta road in Uttarakhand. At an altitude of 2,438 meters. it has heavily wooded, lush green surroundings with snow-covered mountains (Chaukhamba is one of them) in the backdrop.

Deulajhari is the ancient citadel of Shaivisam. This attractive place is having 24 acres (9.7 ha) and 55 decimals of land and covered with indigenous- pandanus forest(kiabana). It is mainly famous for hot spring and a very old ancient Shiva Shree Siddeswar Baba temple. There are 24 hot springs around the temple although temple records say that once there were 84 such hot water springs.

Devprayag which is situated at an altitude of 472 meters above the sea level is famous for many reasons. Devprayag lies at the confluence of rivers Bhagirathi and Alaknanda and thus is the starting point of the holy river Ganga. Devprayag is also home to much revered Rughunathji Temple which is claimed to be constructed about 10, 000 years ago using massive uncemented stones.

Dhankar Lake lies after a steep trek of 45 minutes. Though the trek seems an easy hike, it is quite difficult. The loose pebbles and the crisp mountain air make you breathless within a few seconds. Dhankar Lake can be reached after a quite strenuous trek. You would want to quit and not continue with your climb but the surprise you get once you reach the lake is beyond words. The breathtaking expanse of cerulean waters is set against the backdrop of snow covered peaks.

It is a permanent freshwater lake, in a former channel of the Brahmaputra River, to the south of the main river. It is also called a wetland under the Ramsar Convention which has listed the lake in November 2002, as a Ramsar Site for undertaking conservation measures on the basis of its biological and environmental importance. Considered as one of the largest beels in the Brahmaputra valley of Lower Assam.

Dodital is a freshwater lake in uttarkashi district, Uttarakhand, India, situated at a height of 3,024 metres (9,921 ft). Assi ganga rises from dodital and joins bhagirathi. The confluence is at Gangori. To reach Dodital, From Uttarkashi, a short jeep ride of q19 kilometers will take you to Sangamchatti from where the 24 km trek to Dodital begins. This is a mostly gentle trek, with overnight halt options at the village of Agora or Bebra.

Root bridges are handmade from the aerial roots of rubber fig trees (Ficus elastica) by the Khasi and Jaintia peoples of the mountainous terrain along the southern part of the Shillong Plateau. They take around fifteen years to fully develop. While most of the living root bridges are single decked, this one here is special- with two decks.

One of the principal attractions of the Tarakeshwar town. Tarakeshwar temple often takes a dip in this tank for the fulfillment of their wishes. It is also believed that the water in the tank possesses medicinal properties and a bath here can keep one healthy.

Dumboor Lake is a charming water body located in Gandacherra Sub Division 120 Km. away from Agartala. The look of the lake is like tabour shaped small drum, “Dumboor” of Lord Shiva from which the name “Dumboor” originates. A massive and breathtaking water body of 41 sq.km. with an unending spell of luxuriant green vegetation all around stands majestic for her exceedingly charming beauty and 48 islands in the midst of the lake.

This is a freshwater lake located in the Rangareddy district. The lake is also known as Secret Lake because it is hidden between the localities of Jubilee Hills and Madhopur
