The Guadeloupe aquarium is a public aquarium, located at the Bas du Fort marina in Gosier, in the south of Grande-Terre, an island in Guadeloupe and it is also the most visited museum on the island which was opened in 1985. It has nearly 80 species of fish and 50 species of corals are presented to the public so that they can discover the richness of the seabed of the Caribbean Sea.

Fort Fleur d'Épée is located in the hills of Bas-du-Fort, in the municipality of Le Gosier which was listed on the supplementary inventory of Historic Monuments. It was built from 1750 to 1763 to a polygonal plan by Vauban in the heights above the town of Gosier. It is composed of underground passages leading to small rooms. The powder magazine and the kitchen with its oven are still clearly visible. The vast corridors occasionally host various art exhibitions throughout the year.

The Saint-John-Perse Museum is a municipal museum located in the historic district of Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe. It houses a permanent exhibition on Creole costumes and on the poet and diplomat Saint-John Perse who won Nobel Prize for Literature in 1960. The building has been partially classified as a historical monument. It is also one of the prime attractions in this area.

The Schœlcher museum is a museum located in Guadeloupe in the old district of Pointe-à-Pitre, at 24 rue Peynier. It houses a collection composed in particular of objects that belonged to the French journalist and politician Victor Schœlcher who was the defender of the definitive abolition of slavery in France. The building is partially listed as a historical monument in 1979.
