The highest peak in the northern Vosges where many archaeological remains have been found. An engraved block of sandstone near the summit commemorates the conception of Victor Hugo. The views from the top of this mountain are truly impressive and this place has witnessed many fights in the 1st world war. The archaeological remain found here are being displayed in the Musée archéologique de Strasbourg.

Champ du Feu

The Champ du Feu is the highest point of the Bas-Rhin at Ban de la Roche, at an altitude of 1,098 meters, on the bans of the communes of Belmont and Hohwald.
