The lighthouse is believed to be the oldest in the country, its history allegedly dating back to Portuguese rule of Malacca during the 16th century. The lighthouse on a hill is located in a cape, and hence the name. The hike up to the lighthouse is around 15 minutes on a well paved road, without any vehicles. The hike is quite straightforward, and the view from the cliff side is beautiful, although there is no railing. The lighthouse is not open to the public.
