About Negeri Sembilan

Unlike the hereditary monarchs of the other royal Malay states, the ruler of Negeri Sembilan is known as Yang di-Pertuan Besar instead of Sultan. The rules is selected by the council of Undangs who lead the four biggest territories of Sungai Ujong, Jelebu, Johol, and Rembau, making it one of the more democratic monarchies.

Istana Seri Menanti

The Istana Besar, is the primary palace of the Yang Di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan. It was built and completed in 1932, and officiated by Tuanku Muhammad ibni Almarhum Tuanku Antah who moved there after it was completed. The Istana Besar complex has extensive facilities to support the residence of the Yang Di-Pertuan Besar. In the main building, there is a grand hall, waiting and audience rooms, residential apartments spread over three floors.

Kota Lukut

The Lukut Fort and Museum is a historical site in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. The fort was built by Raja Jumaat in 1847 and later controlled by his son Raja Bot. Located on a hill, it is in ruins and the area has been converted into a historic recreation park above the museum. The museum houses some of the antiquities of the fort, apart from artifacts and pictures related to the history of the past tin extraction done in Lukut area.

The Negeri Sembilan State Mosque is Negeri Sembilan's state mosque. It is located at Jalan Datuk Hamzah near the lake gardens in Seremban, Malaysia. The architectural design was by Arkitek Jurubina Bertiga led by Dato Baharuddin Abu Kassim and the consultant engineer was Ove-Arup dan Rakan-rakan. Its architecture is a combination of Modernist and Minangkabau style. It is one of the popular tourist attraction in this area.

The Custom Museum is a museum in Kuala Klawang, Jelebu District, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. The museum houses four galleries in a four-story building. There is a giant replica of Malay headdress at the top of the museum entrance. The museum exhibits facets and lifestyles of the Malaysian people and the identity of Negeri Sembilan.

The Tuanku Ja'afar Royal Gallery is a gallery in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. The gallery is about the former Negeri Sembilan Yang di-Pertuan Besar Tuanku Ja'afar. The building has a concept of modern colonial architecture. The gallery is housed in a three-story building with an area of 4,087 m2 and divided into 9 exhibition halls. Six exhibitions hall are available for visitor viewing while another three halls are still under construction.

Tanjung Tuan or Cape Rachado is an area in Alor Gajah District, Malacca, Malaysia. It is an exclave of Malacca adjacent to Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan. The cape is well known for the Cape Rachado Lighthouse facing the Strait of Malacca. The coastal area off the cape is famous as the site of the naval Battle of Cape Rachado in 1606, between the Dutch VOC and Portuguese fleets.
